Cleaner production
"Cleaner Production is the constant realisation of the complete preventive strategy of environment protection in the processes and products with the objective of reducing the negative influences on people and the environment.
- CP in production processes includes a more rational use of resources, water and energy, the replacement of toxic resources with the environment-friendly resources, as well as the reduction of quantities and toxicity of emissions and waste into the water, air and soil.
- Regarding products, the CP strategy is focused on the reduction of all negative influences on people and the environment throughout the entire life cycle of products, from resource extraction to the final deposition of the expended products.
CP demands the implementation of know-how, technology improvements and changes in the company organisation, as well as in management." (definition according to UNEP)
