At our company, we are aware of the importance of the environment with all of its components. Therefore, we have obliged ourselves to constantly improve our relationship with the environment and prevent pollution. |
In accordance with our environmental orientation, we invest a lot of funds and know-how into the most ecologically adequate solutions.
Our environmental policy states that:
- We will implement new, environment-friendly technologies.
- We will use substances and materials, which are less dangerous to the environment.
- We will exercise regular control over the pollution of air, water and soil.
- We will prevent or reduce the production of waste.
- We will efficiently exploit energy and resources.
- We will reduce negative influences on people and the environment.
As an upgrade to the Environmental Management System a methodology of "Cleaner production" was introduced into the company in 2003.

Health and safety of the employees
Health is the basis of a quality life and work, therefore we at Polycom take care of its maintenance.
For that purpose, we decided to introduce into the company a system for ensuring healthy and safe work according to the standard BSI-OHSAS 18001.
Our policy of ensuring health and safety states that we intend to:
- ensure safety at work and
- take care of employees' health at their work place.
The system for ensuring health and safety is integrated into the system for ensuring the quality and protection of the environment.
